Blocks Online provides a number of administrative functions which are typically only required on an infrequent basis:
Deactivate Block
This screen allows you to either deactivate, delete or re-activate a block. More information on this article: 3.2.3 Deactivate a Block
Block Budget Administration
Through this function a block’s budget can be reset. This function can only be used when all service charge demands relating to the active budget have first been deleted.
Select the block and the Financial Year and then update the budget status.
If there is a document that was manually uploaded against the budget, then the system will prompt a warning for this:
You should upload the updated version of the document when you re-agree and load the budget to produce demands within the block area.
If there is a document that was generated by the system against the budget, then the system will prompt a warning for this:
You can regenerate the document once you agree and load the budget again within the block area if required or leave it as it is in case you are just adding comments to the budget and not changing any figures.
Delete Fee Collections
This function allows you to delete either a batch of demands or a single demand for a chosen block.
In both cases you should USE THIS FUNCTION WITH CAUTION (WE RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING THE FILES BEFORE DELETING).
When you delete a demand, or multiple demands, they will be permanently removed from the system. If you have already sent the demands to leaseholders, or you have issued statements to leaseholders, then they will show out-of-date information. Instead of deleting demands you may wish to consider raising credit notes to correct any issues you have with demands
- Select the block and the batches of demands are listed
- Select 'Delete Batch' to delete the batch of demands
- Or view the invoices in a specific batch using the 'View Batch' option. You can then either view a single demand (using the blue document icon) or delete a single demand. Individually deleted demands would have to be produced as an ad-hoc as the other demands for the other units will still remain. To produce an ad-hoc, please go to this article: 4.3.3 Raising Ad-hoc Demands
