4.8.1 Health & Safety Overview

Blocks Online provides the facility to allow the tracking and monitoring of health and safety assessments. There are three components to Health and Safety.

Health & Safety Settings

You are able to create multiple different types of H&S assessment for your company e.g. H&S Risk Assessment, Asbestos Survey, Legionella Risk Assessment, Electrical Installation Condition Report. For each type of assessment you will need to specify the default re-inspection frequency and whether or not a re-inspection is mandatory. Note: In most instances a re-inspection will be mandatory.

Access from the Workbench using the Agent Preferences 'cog' located in the top right of the screen.

Via the settings page the 'Late' and 'Escalate' alerts can be tailored to individual agent requirements. You can set the number of days that the system will use to give the Late / Escalate warning indicators in the H&S Summary screen.

Block Area - Health & Safety

In the Block Area, H&S Requirements are added for each area of a block that requires a H&S assessment. Multiple assessment reports can be added to each H&S Requirement. If a H&S assessment is undertaken each year then each report would be stored against the H&S Requirement.

Access via the Block Area menu option: the block -> block health and safety.

Workbench - H&S Summary

In the Workbench, a H&S Summary screen provides an overview of the status of H&S assessments indicating which H&S assessments need to be scheduled, which ones are late or need escalating. The reporting screen also shows which assessments are scheduled and which assessment reports need to be chased.
