4.2.3 STEP 3 - Record the Management and Freehold Company Details

There are three options:
  1. ‘Mgmt Company Owns Freehold’ – This option should be chosen if your client owns the freehold. In this case you must enter your client’s details (name, address, etc.) in the ‘Management Company Details’ section.
  2. ‘Mgmt Company & Freehold Company’ – This option should be chosen if your client is a management company (e.g. RMC) and there is a separate freehold company. In this case you must enter your client’s details (name, address, etc.) in the ‘Management Company Details’ section and enter the freeholder’s details in the ‘Freehold Company Details’ section.
  3. ‘Right To Manage Company’ – This option should be chosen if your client is an RTM company. In this case the RTM company details should be entered as the ‘Management Company Details’ section. The freeholder’s details must be entered as the ‘Freehold Company Details’ section. NOTE: In all three cases, the company details are IMPORTANT as they are printed on service charge and ground rent demands.
If you are the Company Secretary for the Management Company and / or the Freehold Company then the ‘Next Accounts Due Date’ and the ‘Next Annual Return Due Date’ should be entered. These dates are used to support the Companies House processing and reporting
